Video requirements

IRIS+ Professional can use both video streams (live) and video files (recorded) as inputs.

Warning

Make sure all cameras, Video Management Software, and IRIS+ Professional server has syncronized times (using NTP) to ensure correct video indexing and query results.

Shared requirements:

• Supported codecs: H264, H265
• Maximum resolution: 4K
• Maximum frame rate: 30 FPS
• Maximum bitrate: 10 Mbps

Recorded videos:

• Supported formats: .mp4, .mkv, .avi
• Maximum file size: 20 GB

Video streams:

• Supported protocols: RTSP over TCP, RTSP over UDP*, RTMP

*RTSP over UDP is not recommended due to potential packet loss and video quality issues. Use RTSP over TCP for better reliability.
